The Government

Abia State is governed through three independent arms, the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary, each accountable to the people of Abia.

The Executive

The Executive arm is headed by the Governor and is responsible for implementing laws, managing state affairs, and driving development across all sectors.

The Legislature

The legislative arm comprises elected members representing the 24 constituencies. They make laws, approve budgets, and provide oversight on government activities.
